Start of construction celebration for 12 homes Bleekershof in Borne

News item, Area and Property Development

On Friday afternoon, alderman Arthur Lammers ceremoniously gave the go-ahead for the construction of 12 homes in the Bleekershof phase 3 project in the Eschwonen district. The project by partnership Bouwontwikkeling De Bongerd consists of eight detached houses and four semi-detached houses. All homes have been sold. Development combination Bornsche Maten is responsible for the realisation. The handover of the project is scheduled for the end of this year.

After the official programme, the future residents had the opportunity to get to know each other and share their first experiences. Alderman Arthur Lammers: “I am proud of the developments in this beautiful district. There is a substantial housing demand in Borne. We are addressing this through projects such as Bleekershof to make sure that residents have a good place to live. I would like to congratulate the future residents on their new homes. I wish everyone much happiness in this wonderful, sustainable and green neighbourhood.”

Bleekershof in Borne
Sustainability is at the heart of the construction of the homes in the Bleekershof project. The homes meet the BENG requirements (nearly-zero energy buildings, NZE-B), are gasless and will be rated A+++ on the energy label. The design of the homes draws inspiration from the ‘Watermachientje’, a small pumping station from the early 1900s that once moved water from the clay pits to the textile mills’ water treatment plant. This connection to the area’s textile history is reflected in the robust, industrial aesthetic of the entire district.

Wietse Boer, on behalf of De Bongerd: “Borne is a sought-after residential area. It’s no surprise that these 12 homes were sold within about six weeks. It will be a pleasant place to live, with a peaceful village vibe, and all the important amenities still within easy reach. Adding to the appeal, these homes have a striking industrial look with interesting details. A fantastic project for our skilled team!”

Eschwonen
The Bleekershof project is located in the Eschwonen subplan of the Bornsche Maten expansion district. Close to the pumping station, De Bongerd is developing new housing in three phases. The Bleekershof sub-project marks the final chapter in this development, following the earlier phases of Spinnersbrink and Weverserf. In this last phase, 12 new homes will be built: semi-detached houses and detached houses. The Bornsche Maten is located in the southeast of the municipality of Borne. In this new residential area, around 2,300 homes will be built. The district comprises eight neighbourhoods, each with its own residential atmosphere. They are all situated around the park Bornsche Beekpark. De Maten, Eschwonen and De Horsten are in full development. Nieuw Borne, Oost Esch, Singelwonen, De Veste and Tuinstad have largely been realised.

Sale of next phase has started
The sale of 11 homes in the Hofstede phase 2 new-build project in Bornsche Maten has started. A total of 11 homes will be built in this project: 3 detached homes and 8 semi-detached homes. For more information about this project and to register, please visit www.woneninbornschematen.nl.
