Park Rapijnen homes 100% sold, construction to start late 2025
News item, Area and Property Development
The Park Rapijnen development consortium, a partnership between area developers VanWonen and BPD | Bouwfonds Gebiedsontwikkeling, has sold all homes in the Park Rapijnen project in Linschoten (municipality of Montfoort) in record time. The project consists of 67 owner-occupied homes in various price ranges and 29 social homes for Cazas Wonen. The start of construction is set for the end of 2025.
Housing mobility
The construction of new builds in the Park Rapijnen area development not only expands the number of residences in the municipality of Montfoort, but also promotes housing mobility within the municipality. 35 of the 67 owner-occupied homes were sold to residents of Montfoort. Additionally, 2 homes were sold to people who were born in the municipality but had moved away and are now returning. In total, 55% of the project’s homes have been sold to people from Montfoort and Linschoten. That number gets even bigger if we just look at the mid-range homes, where more than 61% of the buyers are from Montfoort/Linschoten.
Alderman Jonkers, municipality of Montfoort: “The aim at Park Rapijnen was to create a diverse range of housing options for residents of the municipality. It’s great to see that this goal has been achieved with the new development. This plan offers new builds in all price ranges. It’s wonderful that a large portion of these homes will be occupied by people who already live in Linschoten and Montfoort.”
Dick Helsloot, development manager at BPD, on behalf of the Park Rapijnen development consortium: “We are really pleased with the sale of the homes in Park Rapijnen. The houses were sold very quickly, and the project has helped in easing pressure on the local housing market. And for anyone ready to act fast: we have two new lots for custom homes on Nieuwe Zandweg available for purchase.”
Living in green surroundings, close to the city
Park Rapijnen is being developed in a unique spot, nestled between the sports park and the distinctive ‘cope landscape’, known for its long, narrow lots, in the Groene Hart (Green Heart) region. The houses will be constructed with due regard for sustainability and architectural quality. The homes are conveniently located a stone’s throw from Linschoten’s picturesque village centre, with amenities such as sports clubs and shops within easy reach. Getting to Montfoort, Woerden and Utrecht is also quick, thanks to the nearby A12.
