The future residents of Duinzicht were invited to the start of construction. After a welcome and a few short speeches, it was time for the unveiling. This was performed by alderman Monique Schuttenbeld, together with Mireille Jeurnink of VanWonen and Antoinette Wilmot of Reinbouw. Alderman Monique Schuttenbeld congratulated the future residents with the purchase of their house: “This is a wonderful new development: very sustainable homes in a unique location in the dunes near a beautiful recreational lake. It will be some time before they can move in, but I wish all the buyers the best of luck in their new homes in this beautiful spot in Zwolle.” After the unveiling, the future residents had the opportunity to get to know each other and share their first experiences while enjoying a drink.

Duinzicht: 51 spacious dune houses
VanWonen is developing a total of 51 spacious dune houses in Duinzicht, on the edge of the Milligerplas lake. The houses are either duplexes or attached houses in a row of three or four, and all have their own carport. The location in the dunes, with many height differences, has resulted in a beautiful project with no two houses being the same. Each house has its own unique sightline and view. Instead of a private garden, each house has two terraces, with the terrace on the first floor almost always extending into the dunes. Because of the four spacious floors, each house can be largely laid out in accordance with the owner’s own wishes.

A green and healthy living environment for current and future generations.’ Antoinette Wilmot, Commercial Director of Reinbouw, adds: “We are experts in building in the dunes. After the DUIN project in Almere, where we built more than 500 houses in a dune landscape, it is great that we can now take on this project in Zwolle.”

Duinzicht planning phases 1 and 2
The construction of the first phase of Duinzicht, the northern part, has started. It is expected that the homes will be completed in 2023. Phase 2 of Duinzicht, the southern part, consists of another 18 houses. The sale for these will start soon. The Duinzicht project is part of Breezicht. Breezicht is located on the north side of Stadshagen, adjacent to the wetlands area Mastenbroekerpolder and the Milligerplas lake. Apart from nature being on one’s doorstep, all facilities are just around the corner as well. There is a variety of shops, schools, sports fields, and a day-care centre. A neighbourhood with a unique character and openness, adding a distinctive touch, on the green outskirts of Stadshagen.
