VanWonen and PHB start partnership for Park Nova

News item, Area and Property Development

On Wednesday afternoon at the Provada real estate fair, area developer VanWonen and construction company PHB Deventer signed a partnership agreement for the development of Park Nova in Deventer. Park Nova will provide 54 rental and owner-occupied apartments with a communal roof garden. The ground floor is zoned for healthcare and offers space for three general practices and a pharmacy.

Park Nova will arise at the former office location of the Carinova care group, less than a 10-minute bicycle ride from the historic city centre of Deventer. In the popular Zandweerd neighbourhood, at the corner of Zwolseweg and Ceintuurbaan. A unique, multi-sided building with apartments for a diverse target group. Park Nova will be a valuable addition to the city of Deventer: 23 mid-priced and four expensive rental apartments, and 27 owner-occupied apartments in various price categories. The homes vary in size between 56 and 95 m2. All apartments have their own balcony or terrace.

Mireille Jeurnink, VanWonen’s Director of Property Development: “In the plan for Park Nova, we started involving the future residents at an early stage. Thanks to their input, a diverse housing programme was created, along with facilities that are in great demand in the neighbourhood and elsewhere in Deventer. This has resulted in a plan for young and old. It also became clear from the dialogues that the future residents wish to meet each other. That’s why a beautiful green roof garden has been included in the design for the first floor. There, residents can relax and have a chat.”

Green and healthy living
Meeting people, greenery, and concern for the climate are aspects that were included in the plan development from the very beginning. The communal roof garden and the two We Drive Solar shared cars are examples of this focus. The roof garden and the landscaping around the building establish a green connection with the park Het Nieuwe Plantsoen and with the roundabout with its large trees at Zwolseweg. “We are proud to have the opportunity to realise this beautiful building in our wonderful city. And it goes without saying that we are building Park Nova as sustainably as possible”, says Gerwin van de Zande, Director of PHB.

Planning
The sale of the 27 owner-occupied apartments starts early July. People interested in the rental apartments can also apply.
