VanWonen sells 45 apartments NELSON to Stienstra Wonen
News item, Area and Property Development
Area developer VanWonen has sold 45 apartments in residential tower NELSON in Arnhem to real estate investor Stienstra Wonen. For this project, Stienstra Wonen has concluded a construction contract with Van Grunsven Groep. The iconic residential tower was designed by Powerhouse Company and will feature 93 rental apartments spread over 15 floors. The remaining 48 apartments in this project are for sale on the private market. With the purchase by Stienstra Wonen, VanWonen has now sold almost 50% of the apartments in NELSON.
Iconic living in Arnhem
In a prominent location along the river Rhine, residential tower NELSON marks the start of the new housing development along the Rijndijk in Arnhem. An iconic tower, nestled in greenery, with a distinctive appearance on all sides. The tower will house a total of 93 apartments, ranging in size from 50 to 120 m². Almost every apartment has a balcony, overlooking either the city or the lush green landscape. The staggered balconies give the building a unique appearance. There will be a car park with 101 parking spaces under the complex. NELSON has an inclusive residential programme, with both rental and owner-occupied units in different price ranges. And with enough space to meet others and socialise, in a beautifully designed building.
Diamond-shaped building
The architecture is a striking eye-catcher. The diamond-shaped building has a slender silhouette and a playful façade. This makes that the building looks unique from all sides. It connects with its surroundings in a natural way. The entrance with its bicycle parking facility is easily accessible. And NELSON is just a five-minute bicycle ride from the city centre of Arnhem.
A focus on climate and biodiversity
The building is equipped with plenty of smart solutions, making it a healthy, energy-efficient, and pleasant place to live. Each apartment is gas-free, the area is lush and green, and there is plenty of space for bicycles. Cars remain out of sight on the parking deck and in the underground car park. Biodiversity is incorporated into the design: nesting boxes will be installed in the façades - for swifts, house sparrows, and bats. For peregrine falcons, a box will be placed on the roof.
Alphons Spaninks, Real Estate Director at Stienstra Wonen: “The apartments in this fine residential tower are a welcome addition to our portfolio of rental homes. This will be a unique place to live, in green surroundings near the city centre.”
Planning
The construction of NELSON is expected to start by the end of 2022. The handover of the apartments is expected to be in 2024. Interested in one of the owner-occupied apartments? Register via www.woneninnelson.nl.
