VanWonen launches ‘OpZuid’: living by De Eng in Soest
News item, Area and Property Development
VanWonen has launched the project ‘OpZuid - Living by De Eng’ in Soest. At this location, the area developer will develop 45 apartments with underground parking. Beautifully located along the green landscape of De Eng, this is a redevelopment of a former car showroom and garage on Soesterbergsestraat 2. Starting today, interested parties can register for the project.
Here, within walking distance of the Soest train station and on the edge of shopping centre Soest-Zuid, at a superb location by De Eng, area and property developer VanWonen will realise the OpZuid project. The first phase of OpZuid consists of an apartment complex of four linked buildings with a total of 45 apartments. Sustainable and gas-free, suitable for young and old.
OpZuid - Living by De Eng
The former car showroom and garage on Soesterbergsestraat will give way in phases to apartments around an inviting courtyard. This courtyard will become OpZuid’s green oasis, a place where neighbours can meet each other. The apartments of OpZuid are located directly by De Eng, a unique area of rolling farmland on a moraine complex. The apartments vary in size from approximately 45 m2 to 115 m2. Each apartment will have a loggia, a covered indoor-outdoor space that is great for relaxing all year round. Cars and bicycles will be parked out of sight in the residential car park.
Mireille Jeurnink, VanWonen’s Director of Property Development: ‘We are delighted that we are taking on this qualitative development in Soest. This will enable us to spread our wings further in the central Netherlands. With OpZuid, we are providing 45 comfortable and sustainable apartments, beautifully located by De Eng. With every imaginable amenity within easy reach, this will be a pleasant place to live.’
Parties involved
VanWonen recently acquired the site and project development from the De Rooij heirs. For this project, the developer continues the partnership with Majoor Makelaars in Soest and Schoots Architects from Amersfoort.
Registration has started
The environmental permit for phase 1 has been issued. VanWonen expects to start the sale in the spring of 2023. Demolition of the current buildings and the start of the new construction is expected to begin in the autumn of 2023. The homes will be handed over mid-2025. From today, interested parties can register for this project via the website: www.opzuidsoest.nl.
