Start of construction celebration 26 homes in Buurtje van Steenbrugge

This afternoon, Deventer alderman Rob de Geest ceremoniously gave the go-ahead for the construction of 26 terraced houses in the ‘Buurtje van Steenbrugge’ project. Area developer VanWonen has already sold all the homes in the new neighbourhood that has a village-like ambiance. Van Campen Bouwgroep will build the homes, which are expected to be handed over from the first quarter of 2024.
Buurtje van Steenbrugge is beautifully located in the lush green outskirts of Deventer, in the young district of Steenbrugge. The district is still evolving and has several small neighbourhoods, all of which are slightly different. The 26 terraced houses in Buurtje van Steenbrugge were designed by ARX architects and will feature a unique architecture, with alternating high and low gutters and playful differences in the details of the facades.
Alderman Rob de Geest: “The new district of Steenbrugge is taking shape. It has a pleasant, village-like character, which appeals to many residents. This new neighbourhood, with its variation in styles, is a good example of that. I am happy that once again many new residents have found their new home here.”
