At home with us - Ambitious together during VanWonen Team Day
Five years of VanWonen. Five years of growth. Because of our different way of looking at things. Our different way of thinking. And our ambition. In the coming years, we want to further strengthen and broaden our position in the Dutch housing market. We aim for a place in the top 3 of independent area developers. And for a lasting rating of 9+ (‘excellent’) from our customers and our employees.
Taking the first step together
This ambition starts with ourselves. “Our team is fundamental to our service and to customer experience excellence. Without happy employees, there are no happy customers. That is what we believe in. In order to flesh out our strategic business plan, we thoroughly went through the six strategic choices as a team during our 5-year VanWonen anniversary event,” says VanWonen CEO Alfred Bolks.
For each strategic choice, a workshop was organised for -and by- our employees to reflect on our ambition. By talking about it together. To sharpen our awareness and improve it where necessary. From growth to sustainability. From an excellent customer journey to distinctive concept development. The first step towards achieving this has been taken, with the entire team.
Being of significance
“Five years of VanWonen, of which I have been a part 5 months now,” says Benedict Kraus, Tender Manager, with pride. “I have experienced the Team Day as a very nice, familiar event. The mix made this possible. From the workshops on the strategic choices to the opportunities to connect with my colleagues. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly, and I was able to contribute to it candidly.”
Someone who has been part of VanWonen from the very start is Marketing and Sales Coordinator Helen de Smidt- Klaren: “It’s a real celebration when you mark your fifth anniversary, and you can feel and experience that on a day like this. With a well-rounded programme, with workshops that gave me new insights. Being of significance, that is the most important lesson I take away from this Team Day. It’s nice to see all my colleagues face-to-face again in a relaxed atmosphere. I am proud to belong to this club, and it was wonderful to celebrate this festive moment together.
Energetic start
After a substantive day programme, we showed in the evening that we at VanWonen also know how to party. Together with Miss Montreal, we set off towards our next anniversary, full of energy.
