DUUX is located on Nieuwe Dukenburgseweg in Winkelsteeg. The plan consists of 647 homes, more than 30% of which will be affordable. In addition, there will be 11,500 m² of space for shops, cafés and restaurants, sports facilities and light commercial activity, such as furniture makers and other artisanal trades. The area will be transformed into a green and pedestrian-friendly space, offering the charm of a small town centre. With trees and planting providing shade and heat relief, DUUX will be a pleasant place to live, work and relax. Winkelsteeg is a versatile area in development, set to gain 6,000 homes and 3,000 new jobs in the coming years. Construction is scheduled to start at the end of 2027.
