Grutto marks the completion of the new residential and shopping heart of Nijmegen-Noord: Hart van de Waalsprong. VanWonen has sold 46 social rental apartments in the Grutto building to housing association Portaal, and 1050 m2 of commercial space to Hans Geveling Vastgoed. The ground floor of Grutto will house HEMA and Kruidvat branches. Development combination Hart van de Waalsprong is a joint project of area developers AM and VanWonen. Construction of the complex has started. Handover is expected in spring 2025.
