Transformation of the former Damsterdiep and Eemskanaal. The project involves a total of approx. 2,400 homes, 30,000 m2 of business space for commercial and social amenities, and a ‘Port Park’. The range of house types is varied. There will be 360 social homes and 240 mid-priced rental homes. Housing associations Nijestee and Lefier will jointly realise around 500 (social) homes, while the market parties will realise around 1,900. VanWonen has a 30% stake in a joint venture with BPD and VolkerWessels Vastgoed. Start preparation of first building plots: spring 2025. Handover planned: spring 2026.
