Webinar | VanWonen creates smoke-free zones
Publication, Healthiest Generations
How can area developers contribute to children growing up in a smoke-free environment? Through the network Nederland Rookvrij (Dutch Alliance for a smoke-free society), participants are working in coalitions to deter the use of tobacco. And to inspire and mobilize each other and exchange knowledge. Their mission: a smoke-free society. This has led to a webinar series on this topic.
This edition, hosted by Maria Henneman, is about how area developers can contribute to children growing up in a smoke-free environment. Miranda Venekamp-Brandt, VanWonen Director of Marketing, Sales & Rental Operations, talks about how VanWonen, as an area developer, creates smoke-free zones near homes and buildings and in playgrounds and recreational areas in the neighbourhoods it develops. Miranda also speaks with affiliate professor Martine Bouman and paediatrician Jasper Been, who conducted research on which measures are effective abroad when it comes to turning areas into smoke-free environments.
