Zwartewaterland sells land for 17 houses in Hasselt Om de Weede
News item, Area and Property Development
Mayor Eddy Bilder of the municipality of Zwartewaterland and Alfred Bolks, CEO of VanWonen, have signed an agreement for the sale of land for the development of 17 sustainable and gas-free homes in the Langs de Weiden project, in the district of Hasselt Om de Weede in the Over de Weede subarea. In this location, VanWonen is currently developing 11 terraced houses and 6 houses that are suitable for ‘ageing in place’.
The mayor is pleased about the 17 additional homes that will arise in Hasselt Om de Weede: “There is a lot of demand for housing in Hasselt, so adding 17 new builds is great news for our residents.” Alfred Bolks adds: “With the acquisition of this land, we, as VanWonen, can now start making real progress with this project. We are going to prepare the construction phase. Construction is expected to kick off this autumn. We see that there is a lot of interest in housing in Hasselt. This is a beautiful, rural, green area to live, yet with all the necessary amenities within a short distance.”
Langs de Weiden
The new housing project ‘Langs de Weiden’ (which translates as ‘along the meadows’) is part of the new district ‘Hasselt Om de Weede’. Here, and in various phases, VanWonen is developing 42 homes in the new Over de Weede subarea. The project is already attracting a lot of interest, especially from people living in the municipality. The houses will be built by PHB Deventer. The construction is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of this year; the handover is planned for mid-2024. Hasselt
Living in Hasselt means living in a characteristic Hanseatic town on the banks of the Zwarte Water river, right on the edge of the beautiful recreational area of the ‘Kop van Overijssel’, abundant in nature and wildlife, with many opportunities for boating. The new ‘Langs de Weiden’ project has a rural and village-like character and borders the green countryside. In short: a wonderful rural setting, yet within a stone’s throw from the town centre of Hasselt and close to large cities such as Zwolle, Kampen and Meppel.
