Between Treilerweg 74 and 80, there are currently a number of connected commercial units, partially extending to Kortbootstraat 43A. Here, 75 rental apartments will be realized, spread across two residential blocks. The apartments include studios and one- and two-bedroom layouts, ranging in size from 25 m² to 50 m², along with a larger three-bedroom apartment of about 90 m². Facing the Treilerweg, approximately 325 m² of commercial space will also be developed on the plinth level.

The Havenkwartier Noord is a bustling neighbourhood with relatively few buildings, unlike the Havenkwartier Zuid. There is a significant supply of social housing, and housing prices are still affordable due to the area being relatively undeveloped. The homes to be built will be affordable and are specifically intended for first-time home buyers and/or those with ties to Scheveningen.

Most of the homes will be situated along the shared courtyard garden, providing a lovely view for both the residents and those living nearby. The layout of the garden and the green property boundary separating it from the adjacent plots has been designed in collaboration with a landscape architect. The immediate local residents and the future residents were given the opportunity to contribute ideas for the design, so that the courtyard garden becomes a place for everyone. The bicycle parking facility will provide sufficient space for (cargo) bikes and scooters for the residents.

A residential car park for 22 cars, completely hidden from view, will be integrated between the two apartment buildings and underneath the green, climate-resilient, and nature-inclusive courtyard garden. The project will also include three shared cars to minimize potential traffic congestion. This provision of shared cars creates a small “Mobility Hub” for the entire neighbourhood.

The project will be completed in the first quarter of 2024.
