Vlijtse Parktorens will be a prominent and easily identifiable cluster of four residential buildings that vary in height, designed by Barcode Architects. 70% of the homes in this development are affordable, a mix of rental housing and owner-occupied. More than 40% of these are designated as social housing. Soaring to around 70 metres, the tallest tower is exclusively for housing association Ons Huis and will therefore only house social housing units.

Area development Kanaalzone Noord
Vlijtse Parktorens is part of a new area development in Kanaalzone Noord, along the Grift stream. The city of Apeldoorn will also be adding a new swimming pool and a multi-storey car park in this area. In accordance with the environmental vision, the city centre will be linked to the Kanaalzone (‘canal zone’) and the Spoorzone (‘railway zone’) via the integration of green spaces, water and housing.

Planning
VanWonen commenced the design process for the Vlijtse Parktorens in July 2024. We expect to start the pre-sale of the first phase in 2026. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2027.
