Start of construction celebration for 55 homes Franciscushof Raalte

News item, Area and Property Development

On Friday afternoon, area developer VanWonen, together with Van Campen Bouwgroep and the future residents, celebrated the start of construction of the Franciscushof new-build project in Raalte. This beautiful new-build project features 55 zero-energy homes, designed by architectural firm De Zaak van NN. A few homes are still available.

Tucked away in the woods, at the end of an old lane, you will find Franciscushof. The homes in Franciscushof (part of the Het Veld area) are nestled against the green landscape.

Mireille Jeurnink, Director of Property Management at VanWonen: “The future residents can enjoy the peace and quiet of country living while still having all the amenities they need close by. It’s the best of both worlds: plenty of space and easy access to larger cities like Zwolle, Almelo and Deventer. We have developed a diverse residential programme in Franciscushof: 55 homes in various price categories: 21 terraced houses, 4 houses that are suitable for ‘ageing in place’, and 30 semi-detached houses. With a wide variety of options to choose from, the diverse housing needs of many Raalte residents are met.”

Zero-energy homes
The 55 homes in the Franciscushof project are built to a net-zero energy standard. This means that the solar panels installed on each home produce enough electricity to meet the annual energy requirements for heating, cooling and ventilation. A zero-energy home results in lower monthly bills because there are no costs for heating or cooling the home.

Richard te Vaarwerk, Technical Director of Van Campen Bouwgroep: “In Franciscushof, our skilled workers are creating a beautiful new neighbourhood with a wide variety of homes.”

A few homes are still available
The first homes will be handed over in the second quarter of 2025 and the last homes in the fourth quarter of 2025. A few homes are still available. For more information and registration: www.woneninfranciscushof.nl
